OAKLAND, Calif. - Defendants have begun filing motions for summary judgment in the next California silica case scheduled to go to trial, arguing that although the plaintiff allegedly suffers from silicosis, he has failed to provide any evidence that he was exposed to silica at all. McElroy v. Lone Star Industries, et al., No. RG05210578 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
