CLEVELAND -- Plaintiffs in the Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation MDL have supported their screening process, opposing an earlier motion in which the defendants asked the MDL court to order the immediate production of medical records from plaintiffs in 632 cases. In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).
In an Oct. 26 response brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the plaintiffs said they were still separating "the wheat from the chaff," and that the defendants' attack on the screening process is unfounded.
