JACKSON, Miss. -- Defendants who claim that a trial court erred when allowing a tort claim for aiding and abetting to proceed in a welding fume case argue in briefs filed in the Mississippi Supreme Court that the trial court's ruling "vastly expand[ed] tort liability in this state." Caterpillar Inc. v. White, et al., No. 2006-IA-1678; Consolidated with A.O. Smith Corp. v. Thompson, et al., No. 2006-IA-01682 (Miss. Sup. Ct.).
