CLEVELAND -- Parties have filed in limine motions in the upcoming Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation MDL trial, seeking the preclusion of testimony on an array of topics, including reference to employer fault and the possibility of a court-ordered epidemiological study. In re: Welding Fume Product Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535; Tamraz, et al., v. Lincoln Electric Co., No. 04-18948 (N.D. Ohio).
More than 20 motions were filed Oct. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio concerning topics that will be permitted during the trial, which is scheduled to begin Nov. 5.
