Judge to Determine Whether Wis. Silica Trials Should be Grouped

OSHKOSH, Wis. - A judge presiding over a multi-plaintiff Wisconsin silica lawsuit has issued an order setting a briefing schedule and hearing date to determine whether the claims should be consolidated for trial. Garth, et al. v. Pfizer., No. 2005CV009961 (Wis. Cir. Ct., Winnebago Cty.).
In a July 11 order Judge Elsa C. Lamelas said the parties could file simultaneous briefs on Oct. 1 regarding the grouping for trial of claims in the four-plaintiff silica lawsuit. Judge Lamelas said she intends to hold a Nov. 5 hearing on the issue.
