Calif. Defendants File Sealed Motion to Re-Open Past Deposition on Drug Use

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Defendants in a California welding fume case have filed a sealed motion to re-open testimony regarding the plaintiff's past drug use, according to a notice filed in the Alameda Superior Court. In re: Welding Product Cases, No. JCCP 004368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
The notice was filed by defendants on July 17 in the lawsuit scheduled to be the first case to proceed to trial in the state. In February, the court ordered the plaintiff to respond to questions relating to illicit drug use.
