West Virginia Pushes Back Earliest Trial Setting in State Court Case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A West Virginia court has continued the earliest trial setting for an upcoming welding fume case from December 2007 to August 11, 2008, sources told HarrisMartin. Collins, No. 06-C-270 (W.Va. Cir. Ct., Wayne Cty.).
The Collins case, which involves seven plaintiffs, is pending in the Wayne County Circuit Court and was scheduled to be one of the first cases in the state to proceed to trial.
The earliest trial is now scheduled to take place in January 2008, when the six-plaintiff case Bond, (No. 06-C-322), will go to trial in the Mingo County Superior Court.
