NEW YORK - A New York trial court has ruled that any toxic-exposure claims asserted by school employees against the City of New York that are not otherwise barred by workers' compensation law must be dismissed for failure to assert any special right or duty owed by the city. Lombardo v. Temple Beth-El of Rockaway Park, et al., No. 31753/20009 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Queens Cty.).
