OAKLAND, Calif. - A state court judge has ordered silica plaintiffs in California to disclose information about the diagnosis of their silica-related injury that pre-dates the filing of their complaint and to execute authorizations regarding claim information submitted to asbestos bankruptcy trusts. Bradley v. A-1 Aggregates, et al., No. RG05214038 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
The Feb. 7 ruling came after Alameda County Superior Court Judge Robert Freedman heard argument on a defense motion to compel plaintiffs' compliance with prior orders related to information contained in initial disclosures, which defendants have claimed were incomplete and inconsistent.
