New Complaints Removed to Pa., Ill., and Miss. Federal Courts

CHICAGO -- A number of welding fume lawsuits were removed to federal courts in Illinois, Mississippi and Pennsylvania recently, where they await a ruling from the JPML on whether they will be transferred to the Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation MDL.
Arthur Hayes filed his complaint Oct. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He contends that his exposure to welding fumes has caused the development of 'permanent, irreversible, and progressive brain damage and nervous system damage.' [Hayes v.
