EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Jury selection began recently in an Illinois welding fume case, with opening arguments expected to begin on Oct. 16, sources told HarrisMartin. Haskell v. BOC Group, et al., No. 04-L-1152, (Ill. 3rd Jud. Ct., Madison Cty.).
On Oct. 11, voir dire began in the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County in a lawsuit asserted by Michael L. Haskell, who says his work as a boilermaker and welder exposed him to toxic welding fumes.
