JACKSON, Miss. - A Mississippi couple scheduled for trial this month has moved to exclude allegedly confusing statements regarding the effects of manganese, saying the defendants are only trying to confuse the jury by suggesting that welding fumes from mild steel electrodes are different than welding fumes from hard surfacing electrodes. Smith, et al. v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al. No. 05-001082 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Hinds Cty.).
