SCRANTON, Pa. - A former quarry worker has taken a default judgment against a premise owner he accused of failing to prevent the dust exposure that eventually led to his development of silicosis. Forba v. Glenwood Stone Co. Inc., No. 05-CV-3499 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Lackawanna Cty.).
The judgment was entered Aug. 17 against Glenwood Stone Co., one of five defendants named in a lawsuit Richard Forba filed after a physician discovered lung abnormalities during an unrelated pre-operative X-ray.
