CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Following months of relatively little activity, the federal silica MDL has recently come to life with Judge Janis Graham Jack demanding answers regarding the Texas Attorney General Office's recent removal of X-rays from the document depository. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL. No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).
In an order issued Aug. 22, Judge Jack demanded that the AG's office file an affidavit with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, explaining how it was able to obtain access to the X-rays without first seeking court permission to remove them from the depository. …
