NEW ORLEANS -- A Louisiana welding fume lawsuit has been removed to federal court on federal officer grounds, according to removal papers filed in New Orleans. Jones v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 06-9484 (E.D. La.).
The complaint was one of four Louisiana welding fume lawsuits removed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Nov. 2.
According to the removal filed in the claims of Robert Jones, the complaints contend that the defendants supplied welding equipment to Avondale Shipyard, the Boeing Co. and Gulf Engineering.
