PHILADELPHIA -- Calling him one of the 'most prolific diagnosing doctors in the asbestos litigation industry,' several defendants have filed a motion to compel asking Dr. Jay T. Segarra to produce his screening litigation documents. In re: Asbestos Products Liability Litigation, MDL NO. 875 (E.D. Pa.).
The defendants claim in the Aug. 10 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania that Dr. Segarra's objections to a subpoena seeking the documents are 'cursory, unsubstantiated and meritless.'
