HOUSTON - Defendants in the Texas silica MDL are attempting to thwart an attempt by plaintiffs to move forward with a case filed by a man who claims he developed scleroderma, but not silicosis, as a result of his exposure to silica. Mullens v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 2005-07992 (Texas Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).
