VICKSBURG, Miss. - A state court judge has granted a silica plaintiff's motions to quash subpoenas served on screening doctors and at least two law firms who represented the plaintiff in concurrent asbestos litigation. Redditt v. American Optical, et al., No. 04-0017 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Warren Cty.).
Judge Isadore Patrick of the Warren County Circuit Court issued the rulings Aug. 3, finding only that the plaintiff's motions to quash the subpoenas, which sought to find out additional information about Roger Redditt's alleged asbestos-related lung cancer, were 'well-taken.'
