10 Percent of Plaintiffs in Ohio Cases are 'Impaired', Filings Indicate

CLEVELAND - An estimated one in 10 cases filed in Ohio's coordinated silica docket has been brought on behalf of individuals who meet the statutory medical requirements for proceeding with their claim, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing. In re: All Silica Cases, No. 073958S (Ohio Comm. Pls., Cuyahoga Cty.).
According to information obtained by HarrisMartin, three of the four plaintiffs firms who represent the majority of silica claimants in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court disclosed their inventories last month.
Of the 658 cases disclosed so far, as many as 71 are accompanied by supporting documentation of impairment, according to sources. …
