LOS ANGELES - Eight foundry workers have sued numerous defendants in California, claiming they suffered lung injuries caused by exposure to silica and other dusts. Beltran, et al. v. J.R. Simplot Co., et al., No. 356257 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The suit, filed Aug. 8 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges that each defendant failed to warn the workers of the potential danger of working with silica, asbestos and aluminum dusts, which they claim were substantial causes of their occupational injuries.
