SUMMARY: In order to study the mortality in a cohort of members of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the U.S. and Canada, the researchers of the study examined a cohort of more than 25,000 workers who entered the trade after 1949.
