CLEVELAND -- Parties in an Ohio state court welding fume case presented oral arguments pertaining to summary judgment motions filed by the manufacturing defendants named in the lawsuit, sources told HarrisMartin. Boyd v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. CV-04-545413 (Ohio Ct. Comm. Pls., Cuyahoga Cty.).
The arguments took place on Dec. 12, 13 and 14 before Justice Francis E. Sweeney of the Ohio Court of Common Pleas for Cuyahoga County. The summary judgment motions -- which were all opposed by the plaintiffs -- related to conspiracy, fraud, aiding and abetting, and negligent performance of a voluntary undertaking claims. The …
