Post-IARC Classification Analysis Finds Agreement in Link Between Silicosis and Lung Cancer Researchers have analyzed nearly a decade of studies assessing the relative risk of lung cancer in workers exposed to silica and determined that the findings are consistent with prior data indicating that cancer rates are higher among workers with silicosis.
