Plaintiffs Urge Court to Reconsider Insurance Rep Deposition Ruling

HOUSTON - Plaintiffs in the Texas state silica MDL have moved the court to reconsider its December 2005 ruling that prohibited them from deposing representatives from insurance companies that wrote policies for Pulmosan Safety Equipment Corp. In Re: Texas State Silica Products Liability Litigation, No. 2004-70000 (Texas Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).

The March 17 motion filed in Harris County District Court follows a series of correspondence between plaintiffs' counsel and Pulmosan where the former unsuccessfully sought access to the representatives, who plaintiffs argue are the only parties with knowledge of relevant facts related to litigation against the company.
