MACON, Miss. - Plaintiffs' counsel who claim they were 'shocked' by revelations of alleged fraudulent diagnosis among workers screened for silica-related diseases should not be permitted to use ignorance as a defense against sanctions, defendants argue in a brief filed recently in Mississippi.
