AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Supreme Court on Feb. 1 asked the plaintiffs to respond to the defendants' writ of mandamus asking the court to review a recent order granting a new trial in a welding fume case that ended in a defense verdict. In re: The Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 05-1095 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
The Texas Supreme Court asked the plaintiffs to respond to Lincoln Electric Co., Hobart Brothers Co. and TDY Industries' Dec. 29 writ. A deadline was not given.
