Court Allows Limited Depo of Ailing Pulmosan Exec

HOUSTON - The 80-year-old former president and one-time sole shareholder of the now-dissolved Pulmosan Safety Equipment Corp. can be deposed in the Texas state court silica MDL, the judge overseeing the docket has determined. In Re: Texas State Silica Products Liability Litigation, No. 2004-70000 (Texas Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).

According to sources, Harris County Judge Tracey Christopher ruled on Jan. 10 that Howard Weiss will be deposed upon written questions, but will not be forced to appear for a live or videotaped proceeding as had been requested by plaintiffs.
