JACKSON, Miss. - Defendants in a Mississippi silica case are seeking data from a plaintiffs' medical expert who they say has a history of fraudulently diagnosing claimants with silica-and asbestos-related injuries. Fairley v. Pulmosan Safety Equipment Co., et al., No. CI-2004-001-SI (Miss. Cir. Ct., Jackson Cty.).
In a Dec. 20 letter to Special Master X.M. Frascogna Jr., the defendants contend they too are entitled to information contained in medical summaries that Dr. Jay Segarra intends to produce to Congress later this month.
