California Plaintiffs to Amend Complaint for Second Time

OAKLAND, Calif. - Plaintiffs in California silica cases filed earlier this year have been given a second opportunity to amend their complaints to cure alleged defects the defendants say have made it impossible to mount a defense against the claims. Brown v. Lone Star Industries Inc., et al., No. RG05210447 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
In an order signed Dec. 2, Judge Henry E. Needham Jr. of the Alameda County Superior Court said plaintiffs were to file their Second Amended Complaints no later than Dec. 16.
