CLEVELAND - An air compressor manufacturer has been awarded summary judgment in an Ohio silica case after arguing that it had no duty to warn of dangers associated with inhalation of silica dust. Lane v. Air Liquide America Corp., et al., No. 482235 (Ohio Comm. Pls., Cuyahoga Cty.).
Sources told HarrisMartin Publishing that Schramm Inc. was awarded summary judgment Nov. 6 in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on claims brought by a sandblaster who allegedly used and worked around the company's air compressor at several work sites.
