CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A motion for sanctions filed against a plaintiffs' attorney who sought to depose an attorney with ties to a silica defendant and a study critical of screenings in mass tort cases has been withdrawn, according to court documents obtained by HarrisMartin Publishing. Karstens, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 03-03177-C (Texas Dist. Ct., Nueces Cty.).
