Welding Fume Parties to Begin Trial Oct. 31

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Potential jurors will receive questionnaires on Oct. 31 in preparation for the next welding fume trial, sources told HarrisMartin. Boren, et al. v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. 00-L-886 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).

Sources said there are 10 defendants remaining in the Boren case, which is set to take place in the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County.

Trial originally began May 24, but was continued when the judge overseeing the case granted an unopposed plaintiffs' challenge to the panel of jurors during voir dire. The parties were then issued leave …
