Federal MDL Judge Updates Status of Next 3 Trials

CLEVELAND - The judge presiding over the Ohio Welding Fume MDL said the next three MDL trials will begin in 2006. In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation. MDL No. 1535. Case No. 1:03-cv-17000 (N.D. Ohio).

In her Nov. 10 order, Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, summarized a Nov. 8 scheduling conference. She said the parties will report on who the plaintiff will be for the third MDL trial (to replace plaintiff Scott Landry), which is scheduled for May 22, 2006.
