CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A defendant seeking to exclude diagnosis testimony in a Texas silica case has moved for sanctions against a plaintiff's attorney who responded to the motion by seeking to depose an attorney with ties to the defendant and to a study critical of screening diagnoses in asbestos cases. Karstens, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 03-03177-C (Texas Dist. Ct., Nueces Cty.).
