CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A silica defendant has moved to strike a diagnosis rendered by a physician who the defendant says violated guidelines for diagnosing silicosis with full knowledge that the patient was alleging a significant occupational exposure to silica. Karstens, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 03-03177-C (Texas Dist. Ct., Nueces Cty.).
