JONESBORO, Ark. -- More than 20 welding fume lawsuits have been filed in various federal courts in the past month, including Kentucky, Oklahoma, Michigan and Arkansas jurisdictions.
The lawsuits have been filed since Aug. 1 in several federal jurisdictions, all alleging the defendants conspired to conceal the dangers of welding fume exposure.
Three of the welding fume lawsuits were filed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, including one by Christopher Boling (No. 05-118), who claims he developed manganese-induced Parkinsonism from exposure to toxic welding fumes.
