OAKLAND, Calif. - Defendants in a California silica case have asked the court to consider requiring plaintiffs to disclose certain information regarding product identification and circumstances surrounding their diagnosis in order to avoid a potential discovery battle. Campos v. Silica Resources Inc., et al., No. RG04161759 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
In a joint report filed Aug. 31 in Alameda County Superior Court, defendant Clemco Industries says it and others named in the case have requested, but have not yet been provided with, necessary information about plaintiffs Ernest Ray Campos' alleged silica exposure and subsequent diagnosis of silica-related injury.
