MDL Judge Releases Opinion on Parkinson's Disease Testimony Ruling

CLEVELAND -- Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley has issued her reasons for denying a defense motion to exclude testimony linking welding fumes to Parkinson's disease, a follow-up to a prior order in which she indicated her intent to do so. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL, No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).
The Aug. 8 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio judge once again stressed that while she chooses to deny the motion as a whole, she might find a similar motion well-taken in specific cases.
