Ill. Welding Fume Trial Postponed to Allow for Discovery

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The judge overseeing the next welding fume lawsuit has continued the trial to Oct. 31 to allow for discovery on updated scientific evidence, sources told HarrisMartin. Boren, et al. v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. 00-L-886 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
The judge previously granted an unopposed plaintiffs' challenge to a panel of jurors during voir dire on May 24. The Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County then set the trial date for Sept. 12.
