CLEVELAND -- In an order addressing several defense challenges to experts proffered by the plaintiffs, Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley has indicated her intent to deny another defense motion to exclude testimony linking welding fumes to Parkinson's disease. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL, No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).
The July 24 order has yet to be entered in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and sources indicated that it only had been circulated to the MDL counsel. An official opinion is expected to be issued within days, sources said.
