- Motion for Summary Judgment
PHILADELPHIA - Defendant Lockheed Martin Corp. has filed a motion for summary judgment in several Philadelphia silica cases, arguing that years of discovery have failed to produce evidence that the company ever supplied sand to the foundry where the plaintiffs allegedly were exposed to silica. O'Brien v. U.S. Silica, et al., No. 04286 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).
In motions filed April 29 in 10 cases pending in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Lockheed maintains that the plaintiffs have failed to present sufficient product identification evidence relating to its predecessor, Martin Marietta.
