50 Severed Welding Rod Claims Transferred to Surrounding Mississippi Circuit Courts

MACON, Miss -- A Mississippi state court judge has transferred 50 welding rod complaints to surrounding circuit courts, the result of a prior order severing the claims for transfer to either the county where a state defendant resides or where exposure allegedly occurred. Mattix, et al. v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 2002-414 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Noxubee Cty.).
In an April 22 order, the Circuit Court for Noxubee County transferred the 50 severed complaints to nearly 30 circuit courts across Mississippi.
