Clore Automotive Moves to Dismiss MDL Welding Claims

CLEVELAND -- Clore Automotive, a defendant named in two lawsuits pending in the Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL, has moved to dismiss the claims asserted against it, arguing that the plaintiffs fail to assert specific allegations against the company. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).
In a Feb. 28 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Clore Automative additionally contends that it is not a successor-in-liability defendant because it did not assume the liabilities of Century Manufacturing Inc.
