Sand Defendant Moves to Sever, Dismiss Asbestos, Silica Claims

OKLAHOMA CITY - A silica defendant named in a multi-plaintiff lawsuit alleging injuries caused by exposure to asbestos and silica dust at two glass plants in Oklahoma has moved to dismiss the majority of plaintiffs on the ground that they were improperly joined. Haley v. Union Carbide Corp., No. 05-117 (W.D. Okla.).
