ANGLETON, Texas -- A Texas court has set the retrial of a welding rod case that recently ended in a hung jury for April 4, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing. Presler, et al., v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 23472 (Texas 23rd Dist. Ct., Brazoria Cty.).
Counsel for the defendants indicated that they expect jury questionnaires will be handed out on April 4, and that the retrial of Ronald Presler's claims will get underway April 11 in the 23rd District Court for Brazoria County. Presler is a former welder who claimed his neurological disorder was caused by exposure to manganese fumes.
