CLEVELAND - An Ohio state court judge has denied several motions for summary judgment in a group of silica personal injury claims that defendants argued were barred by the statute of limitations. In Re: Special Docket Cuyahoga County Silica Cases, No. 73958S (Ohio Comm. Pls., Cuyahoga Cty.).
In an order entered Jan. 24, Judge Francis E. Sweeney of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas rejected the defendants' argument that the plaintiffs were aware that they suffered from silica-related injuries more than two years before they filed their complaints.
