MDL Parties Designate Witnesses for Upcoming Trial

CLEVLAND -- Parties involved in the first trial to take place in the Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL have filed their witness list for the July 18 trial. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).

On Feb. 4, both plaintiffs and defendants in Ruth v. A.O. Smith, et al., (No. 04-18912) designated their expert witnesses in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

In March 2004, Ruth was the first lawsuit to be remanded from the Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL. However, sources indicated that the parties agreed to have …
