BALTIMORE -- Welding rod defendants involved in an insurance coverage dispute argue in opposing summary judgment for insurers that pollution exclusions should not be read to bar coverage for welders' personal injury claims against them. United States Fire Insurance Co. v. Clendenin Brothers Inc., et al, No. AMD03CV3308 (W.D. Md.).

In the response brief filed Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Maryland, defendants Clendenin Brothers and Nichols Wire contend that pollution exclusions included in their policies do not apply to the underlying welding rod claims asserted against the companies.
