OAKLAND, Calif. -- Defendants in the welding rod proceedings in California have proposed to coordinate discovery with the pending Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL. Welding Rod Products Cases, No. JCCP004368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
In a Jan. 19 case management conference statement filed in the Alameda County Superior Court, the manufacturing defendants in the coordinated proceedings said that they are prepared to allow the plaintiffs access to the MDL document depository, comprised of company documents, written discovery and deposition transcripts.
