Transfers, Designation of Experts Highlight MDL Movement

CLEVELAND -- Welding rod defendant Metropolitan Life Insurance has filed its designation of experts in the Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL, capping a month of transfers, motions and dismissals. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).

Filed Jan. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Metropolitan Life Insurance designated Peter Simner Spencer, Ph.D. of Portland, Ore., and Lisa K. Walker, Ph.D. of Chevy Chase, Md., as experts to testify in the welding rod proceedings.
